4X4 - Off Road (4-Wheeling)

"Jeeping Capital of the World" . Ouray offers a wide variety of jeep trails ranging from peaceful to extreme. Travel across the high mountain passes and through flower swept fields, discover the magnificence of Ouray County.

Imogene Pass

This spectacular trail takes you to an altitude of 13,200 feet and delivers you into the town of Telluride, passing long-abandoned mine sites along the way. Will take 3-4 hours.

The Alpine Loop

A great fall foliage tour! This all-day trip through Lake City takes you over the historical Alpine Loop past mining sites, ghost towns and through spectacular mountain scenery.

Black Bear Pass

Enjoy the true ruggedness and thrills of a four-wheeling trip in the San Juan Mountains. This is a heart-stopping, breathtaking alpine trail to Telluride passing right by the spectacular Bridal Veil Falls.

Ophir Pass

One of the easier, but very popular, mountain passes that takes you to the Telluride side of the San Juan Range. This one is spectacular during the fall season.

Last Dollar Road

This is an extremely easy road that traverses picturesque ranches and passes through beautiful aspen forests as you wind your way to Telluride.

Yankee Boy Basin

This easier trail is most popular for its spectacular explosion of wild flowers in the late spring/early summer season and for its waterfalls. It's not often that you go out to Yankee Boy Basin during the summer.
